Construction temporarily reduces Mehaffey Bridge Road to single lane

Beginning the morning of Wednesday, June 25, a portion of Mehaffey Bridge Road and North Front Street will be reduced to a single lane so crews can widen the street. The road will remain open, with a pilot car and flaggers allowing a single direction of traffic through the work zone at a time. This work is expected to be completed today, with the road reopened by 3 p.m.
Weather permitting, a similar lane reduction is expected for Wednesday, July 2, and Thursday, July 3.
Drivers are asked to use caution, allow extra travel time, and find alternative routes when possible.
