Aquatic to host third annual Just Tri youth triathlon

On Aug. 3, the North Liberty Aquatic Center will present the third annual North Liberty Youth Triathlon: Just Tri . Hosted in with Tri-Fit Agape, LLC, the event features swimming, biking and running in three distances for kids ages 6 to 14 years old.
The races start s at the North Liberty Community Center, 520 West Cherry Street, with check in beginning at 7 a.m. on Aug. 3, with races beginning at 8a.m. A health and fitness expo will follow the race.

• Ages 6 to 8 years old will swim 25 meters, bike .9 miles, run a quarter mile.
• Ages 9 to 11 will swim 50 meters, bike 2.4 miles, and run one mile.
• Ages 12 to 14 will swim 100 meters, bike 4.4 miles, run two miles.

Registration ends on July 27, or once registration is full, and includes a dri-fit event T-shirt along with a goodie bag. Registration is $25 for North Liberty residents and $30 for non-residents. Registration must be complete in person at the North Liberty Community Center or online at northlibertyiowa.org.
All participants who finish will receive a medal.
