Enforcement:
• Multiple theft reports were taken for unsecured lockers and bicycles from the Community Center. Some of the bikes have been recovered and returned to the owners. Rec Center Staff will rent locks for lockers, and locks for bikes if people do not have one for a small fee. They can inquire at the front desk to rent locks. Two bikes have been returned this month to their owner.
• Other vehicular and residential burglaries occurred near Penn and Jones, Penn Court, Cherry Court, Circle Drive, Heritage Drive, Birch Court and in the mobile home parks. We would like to remind all residents and visitors to lock and secure your property at home, on the move, and while visiting local establishments. The location apps/find my device installed on mobile devices has also been beneficial in tracking down phones and tablets.
• One person was arrested for a construction site burglary this month and property was discovered and returned in at least three other cases. The thefts appear to be random and committed by different culprits. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact North Liberty Police at 319-626-5724 or the dispatch number at 356-6800.
• Extra patrol was conducted in the traffic congested areas and work zones.
• Officers continue to deal with multiple lost pets, found or misbehaving animals.
