Residents reminded to lock their vehicles, garages and homes

The North Liberty Police Department reminds residents to lock their garages and houses, vehicles when not in use, and to not leave valuable items in plain sight.
The reminder follows multiple reports of vehicle burglaries along Penn Street, Front Street, Holiday Lodge Road and Golf View Drive areas in the past few weeks. The recent burglaries occurred in vehicles that were unlocked and with valuable items, such as electronics, purses, wallets, keys and money, left in plain view.
