Eastside Utilities update for February 27 to March 6, 2015

The City of North Liberty awarded the $4.86 million construction project to Langman Construction, Rock Island, Illinois on Feb. 23, 2015. There was preconstruction meeting with the contractor on Feb. 27, 2015. The contractor started construction on March 4, 2015.
The intent of this weekly update is to give an overview of work completed and a project of work in the following week. It is intended to be a general overview and be tentative in nature. Things may differ from the listed schedule if weather or other unknown factors come into play.
Weekly Overview: Feb. 27 to March 6
- City hosted preconstruction conference.
- Contractor walked the site and took photos of existing conditions.
- The construction limits were marked in the field.
- Contractor began construction on March 4. Contractor removed trees at the City of North Liberty waste water treatment plant and the Weinman property.
What to expect next week: March 9 to March 13
- Contractor will continue tree removals. They plan to complete all the tree removals prior to March 31, 2015 according to Iowa Department of Natural Resources guidelines.
- The removed trees will be chipped and used on-site for erosion control stabilization.
What you need to know
- Construction project substantial completion date is April 1, 2016. Final completion is June 1, 2016.
- Working hours are Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Work on the weekends and at night will require approval from the City of North Liberty
- The contractor will notify property owners if work will affect access to property. We do not anticipate any restricted access.
- Please do not remove any construction stakes located within the limits of work.
- During construction, if a property owners loses utility service, please contact your local service provider.
