North Liberty gets better at winter

 
Last weekend North Liberty’s inaugural Beat the Bitter invaded Penn Meadows Park to spread some much needed winter cheer.
More than 500 participants were greeted with a wide variety of outdoor events including a 5k-ish obstacle  run, Iowa City Ducks rugby demonstration, kickball tournament, fat tire bike race, and nearly impossible scavenger hunt. The good cheer spilled into the evening hours as well, with an adults only Beach Party at Reds Alehouse.
