County restricts weight, reduces lanes on Highway 965 bridge

Johnson County Secondary Roads has announced one-lane traffic and a weight limit of 20 tons are in effect immediately for the Highway 965 bridge over the Iowa River north of North Liberty. The full release:

Effective immediately, traffic on the Highway 965 bridge over the Iowa River in Johnson County will be restricted to a maximum gross vehicle weight of 20 tons.  Traffic will be reduced to one lane when traffic control measures are in place.
The road will remain open to traffic, but travelers should expect potentially lengthy traffic delays, especially during the morning and afternoon peak travel hours.  Please consider an alternate route or plan for additional travel time, and always be patient and drive defensively through work zones.
