Trail closure on Dubuque Street Trail, roundabout nearing completion

Weather permitting, a segment of the Dubuque Street Trail at the intersection of North Liberty Road and Dubuque Street will close on Wednesday, Sept. 28. The closure is necessary so crews can complete the final connections of the new permanent trail around the rebuilt intersection. The trail is expected to reopen by the morning of Saturday, Oct 1.

Meanwhile, the new roundabout at North Liberty Road and Dubuque Street is on pace to be open by mid-October, weather permitting. The current detour will remain in place so crews working on masonry, landscaping and other final pieces, have a safe work area, as well as on-site space for materials and equipment.
