Gyms to close for floor refinishing on Aug. 14

Beginning as early as Monday, Aug. 14, the Robert and Jones gyms at the North Liberty Community Center, 520 W. Cherry St., will be closed so their floors can be refinished. The closures are expected to last through Aug. 20.
In addition to the closures, some patrons may find the vapors from the floor finishes unpleasant, though they are not harmful, particularly on the indoor track, cardio and weight areas.
This work is not expect to affect the recreation department’s hours of operation.
