Employee Stabbed by Unknown Male at Pizza Shop

On Dec. 21, 2018, around 3:13 p.m., the North Liberty Police received a report that an employee at Little Caesars Pizza, 780 Community Drive, was stabbed by two unknown males.  The victim was able to alert his co-workers to call the police.  The victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance.  His condition is not available at this time.

It was reported that the two Hispanic males left the area in a black car.  One male was described as around 6 feet tall with longer hair and wearing a red ball cap.  The other Hispanic male, was around 5 feet 6 inches tall.

Employees reported they did not believe this was a robbery attempt and the suspects’ intended to harm the victim only.  We do not have any known information that the public is at risk.

The North Liberty Police Department, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, The Iowa State Patrol, the North Liberty Fire Department, the Johnson County Ambulance Service, the Joint Emergency Communication Center, the University of Iowa Police Department and the Johnson County Attorney’s Office assisted in this investigation.

No further information is available right now as this is an ongoing investigation.  We will provide an update when more information is obtained.
