Candidate Information for Nov. 5, 2019, Regular City Election

A regular election will be held on Nov. 5, 2019, to fill four seats on North Liberty’s city council: three full four-year terms and the remaining two-years of another term. The seats with full four-year terms are currently held by RaQuishia Harrington, Chris Hoffman and Sarah Madsen. The seat with two-years remaining is currently held by Brent Smith.

Candidates can file beginning Aug. 26, 2019, and must file by 5 p.m., Sept. 19, 2019, at the Johnson County Auditor’s Office, 913 S. Dubuque St., Suite 101, Iowa City. 25 valid signatures are required.

Local, state and federal elections throughout Johnson County, including North Liberty, are the responsibility of the Johnson County Auditor’s Office. North Liberty encourages residents to register and vote as a way to participate in their government. The county auditor has detailed information about this election online.
