Pizza Ranch will be catering this week, we’ll also have a VNA nurse in the room to do free blood pressure checks. After lunch Tyson Wirth from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Johnson County will be giving a presentation. Registration is required for all who attend lunch, and should be done before noon on Thursday, April 13th. Residents Affected by Storm Encouraged to Self-Report Damage
Johnson County Emergency Management is encouraging people who were affected by the severe weather outbreak on Friday, March 31, 2023, to self-report property damage.
Property damage can be self-reported online. This is the first step for potential individual assistance through the State of Iowa. More details here.

The Nature of Judicial Power – Sometimes, the courts don’t decide important issues before them. In this lecture, take a closer look at why courts quite often choose not to decide a particular case on its merits. Topics here include justiciability doctrines (court-made decisions under which courts impose limitations on their power), sovereign immunity, and official immunity.

Amanda Lensing with the UIowa Stanley Museum of Art is returning to the library with her educational series. Looking Through Glass will feature glass art from the Stanley Collections and on campus. This presentation will include work by Dale Chihuly, Tiffany Studios, and Preston Singletary.
