Changes Coming to Cherry Street District Parking

Soon, visitors to North Liberty’s Cherry Street district will notice some changes to parking on parts of the recently reconstructed street.

Most public parking spaces on Cherry Street between Front and Dubuque streets will be limited to 30-minute parking between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily. A van-accessible ADA parking space, and two adjacent spaces in this section, do not carry this limit.

For visitors who plan longer visits to the area, the recently reconstructed Penn Meadows Park lots, and parking along Main and Duqubue streets, are available and do not have a 30-minute limit.

Be mindful that several lots are reserved for private businesses, schools and emergency services. When North Liberty’s new city hall is completed, additional parking is expected be available there to serve the area in the evening hours.
