Harvest Estates Crop Debris Collection Coming Thursday, May 11

Due to strong storms with 75-mile-per-hour winds on Sunday, May 7, 2023, City of North Liberty staff will collect crop debris from properties in Harvest Estates. To have this debris collected, residents should move it into the street through Wednesday, May 10, and crews will collect it on Thursday, May 11.

Additional disposal opportunities include:

• Space at the public works campus, 290 Golfview Drive, just east of the railroad tracks and trail, will be available through Sunday, May 14, for free
• Debris bagged in purchased Johnson County Refuse yard waste bags will be collected on your regular trash and recycling day
• Organic waste can be dumped at the Iowa City Landfill and Recycling Center, 300 Hebl Ave. SW, Iowa City, for free

During cleanup, avoid using heavy machinery or vehicles on unpaved surfaces, since the heavy rain has left the ground very soft, and vehicles and equipment will damage public and private property.
