55+ Connections Lunch 

Friday, June 23

North Liberty Rec Center – Classrooms 3 & 4 

This week we’ll be having Yang Chow Wok for lunch and afterward Amanda Lensing from the Stanley Museum of Art is back with a presentation about post office murals! Registration for lunch just $5 and is required for all who attend. Participants must register before noon on Thursday, June 22nd. Ranshaw House Concert Series 

Fridays in June and July 

6 PM – 8 PM 

Ranshaw House Lawn, 515 Community Dr. North Liberty 

All through June and July the City of North Liberty will be hosting free live performances from local musicians all from the Ranshaw House front porch! Connect with neighbors, bring a picnic, BYOB, and enjoy the fun summer evening atmosphere! See the full line up of performers here!  

Friday, June 23rd performer: Crystal City 

Heavily influenced by Paul Westerberg, Tom Petty, John Prine, and Townes Van Zandt, Crystal City’s songs are approachable and relatable, touching on themes of love and loss, being good to each other, and celebrating life. 

Free Outdoor Yoga

Centennial Park – 1565 St Andrews Dr, North Liberty, IA 

A free, outdoor gathering for yoga, led by Natalie Johnston of Lifestyle Health Therapies. All levels and ages welcome. Bring your own mat and drink. 

ARTZPhilly, Dementia Unplugged: ARTFul Insights with the Stanley Museum of Art 

Monday, June 26

Hosted by ARTZ Philadelphia – A partnership with the Dementia Society of America 

Amanda Lensing, Senior Living Communities Program Coordinator at the Stanley Museum of Art, will lead a discussion and close looking of objects in the Stanley’s collection and on display now as part of the inaugural exhibition Homecoming, which reintroduces the Stanley collection to the public.

Stanley Sage with Alicia Velasquez 

Wednesday, June 28  

10:30 AM  

Stanley Museum of Art – Lobby  

Stanley Sage is a program with older adults in mind. We’ve invited a local older adult to tell their art story and connect it to the Stanley collection. 

Alicia Velasquez is a local artist and the first Indigenous woman to open a boutique in Iowa City. The House of DOTŁ’IZHI features art and jewelry inspired by Velasquez’s Apache culture.
