City Hall Moved at 360 N Main St.

City Hall has relocated to 360 N. Main St., adjacent to the North Liberty Police Station.

The public can accesses the same services at the new location during the same business hours: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Departments located at the building include Administration, Billing and Finance, Building Inspection, Planning, Community Relations and Human Resources.

Canceled: Join Us for Splash Night at the Outdoor Pool on Friday, August 4

Update: with the unexpected unavailability of our screen vendor, this event has been cancelled.

All are invited for family-friendly, late night water fun at North Liberty’s outdoor pool from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. on Friday, August 4.

The five Ws

  • Who: All ages, free and no tickets needed
  • What: A screening of Finding Dory and/or swimming at the outdoor pool
  • Where: Outdoor pool and east lawn, located at 520 W Cherry St.
  • When: Friday, August 4. The movie will begin at 8:45 p.m. Swimming will be open until 10:15 p.m.
  • Why: A chance to swim after-hours!

What to expect

  • The screen will be set up on the grass lawn just outside the pool’s east fence. For patron safety, the screen will not be viewable from inside the swimming pool, but gates will remain open during the film for attendees to move between the lawn and the pool as they wish.
  • This event is free. No daily fee or membership is required to swim if you arrive after 8:30 p.m. for the special event.
  • The movie will begin at 8:45 p.m. and run until approximately 10:15 p.m.
  • While the pool usually closes at 9 p.m. on Fridays, outdoor pool time will be extended until the movie is over for this event.
  • Lifeguards will be on duty, but caregivers are expected to also be in the pool with young swimmers.
  • The use of tobacco, nicotine, vape and other electronic smoking devices are prohibited in North Liberty parks, trails and public recreation areas.

Food and drink

Free popcorn will be available, and limited snacks will also be available for purchase from the concession stand. Additionally, Peppercorn Food Company’s truck will be on site with items for purchase.

What to bring

Swimsuits, towels, life jackets, lawn chairs, blankets and maybe pajamas to change into. Only coastguard-approved life jackets are allowed. No other inflatable toys, please.

About the movie

Finding Dory (PG) is a computer-animated comedy-drama adventure film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures in 2016. The film is the sequel to Finding Nemo (2003). Ellen DeGeneres and Albert Brooks reprise their roles from the first film, with Hayden Rolence, Ed O’Neill, Kaitlin Olson, Ty Burrell, Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy joining the cast. The film focuses on the amnesiac fish Dory (DeGeneres), who journeys to be reunited with her parents (Keaton and Levy).
