We’re already at the first Friday of the month! For those of you who register one month at a time, don’t forget to re-register before Thursday. Hy Vee will be catering this week and they are expected to bring meatloaf, potatoes, and buttered corn. After lunch we’ll have Bingo, which is free to play with the chance to win small prizes. Registration for lunch is just $5 and is required for all who attend. Participants must register before noon on Thursday, February 1st. Call the Rec Center to register (319)626-5716 or go online to your RecDesk Account and register yourself.

Friends of the Coralville Public Library Book Sale

Come out for a Friends of the Coralville Public Library Book Sale!  Find a selection of fiction, non-fiction, CDs, and DVDs.  No prices. It’s a pay what you want, free will donation sale. 

The Friends of the Coralville Public Library is a non-profit that supports the Coralville Public Library and literary programs in the community.

Club 24  

Monday, February 5

North Liberty Rec Center – Classrooms 1 & 2 

CLUB 24 is a program for adults to socialize over University of Iowa Athletics.
Patrons can sign up online, over the phone (319-626-5716), or in person at the Community Center. Patrons must reserve their spot by the proceeding Friday (February 2nd) each week. 

This week we’ll be watching: a replay of the Iowa Maryland Women’s Basketball Game.
Patrons will pay $6 cash day of the program unless they sign up online. Online registration you must pay at checkout. The cost will cover cinnamon rolls from Bluebird Café. Coffee will be provided for participants also. 

How to Play Chess 

Wednesdays, February 7 – February 28 

3 – 4:30 PM 

Ranshaw House – 515 Community Dr. North Liberty 

Using the first four video lectures of the Great Courses series, How to Play Chess: Lessons from an International Master, this class will offer chess beginners an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the game, get some practice playing, and spend time socializing. The series may be extended if there is sufficient interest. You can register by calling 319-356-5220 or online. 

Euchre Tournament 

Sunday, February 25

North Liberty Rec Center – Classrooms 1 & 2 as well as 3 & 4 

Join us for our first ever Euchre Tournament at the North Liberty Community Center on February 25th at 11 am. 20 dollars is the cost per team. Only 1 person needs to sign up their team. Snacks and drinks will be provided. We will pay out the top 3 finishers after we take out snack and drinks fees. We will also show the live Iowa Women’s Basketball Game and Iowa Men’s Wrestling Meet during the tournament.
