City Hall Moved at 360 N Main St.

City Hall has relocated to 360 N. Main St., adjacent to the North Liberty Police Station.

The public can accesses the same services at the new location during the same business hours: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Departments located at the building include Administration, Billing and Finance, Building Inspection, Planning, Community Relations and Human Resources.

We’ll be having our book club discussion this week for our May book The Violin Conspiracy by Brendan Slocumb. You are welcome to stop in and chat even if you haven’t read the book, but be warned that there will be spoilers! 

Our June book blub book is The Downstairs Girl by Stacey Lee, a historical fiction about a young Chinese-American woman living in post Civil-War Atlanta, working as a maid and moonlighting as a newspaper columnist. You can pick up a copy at the library! 

Join us each week for a social gathering full of activities and friendly conversation – board games, puzzles, art, book discussions, and more! No registration required. 

National Senior Health & Fitness Day

Join Grand Living at Bridgewater for a health fair packed with vendors and activities to kick off your summer health goals. Fitness testing, healthy snacks, outdoor games, SMARTfit training, and more! At 2:30 there will be a presentation titled “Eat More to Increase Your Longevity” with Guest Speaker Lyynde, Nutrition and Wellness Consultant from Performance Health and Fitness. Vendors will include CarePro Health Services, Alzheimer’s Association, On With Life, Therapy Dogs, Performance Health and Fitness, Fitness Sports Shoes, University of Iowa Csomay Center, and Fox Rehab. NLCP Free Garden Flower Workshop

Come learn about companion planting in the vegetable garden with flowers! Local flower grower, Kara Krapfl of Lovely Bunches, will talk about the importance of incorporating flowers into your garden space. We will also plant some container-approved flower seeds for you to take home as well as make a beautiful flower arrangement for your indoor space. Questions? We have a fifth Friday this month, which means Sugapeach will be catering. We do not have an activity planned for after lunch, but Euchre Club will take place after lunch, around 1:30 PM. Registration for lunch is $5 and required for all who attend, Euchre Club is free, no registration required.
