For our craft week, we’re going to be decorating book bags! Swing by to get your free bag and deck it out with patches, fabric paint, and more! 

Join us each week for a social gathering full of activities and friendly conversation – board games, puzzles, art, book discussions, and more! No registration required.

Hy-Vee is catering this week and are expected to bring fried chicken, potatoes, and veggies. After lunch, Chris Nelson, who is the Information Technology Coordinator for the city of North Liberty, will be talking to us about the Technology the City Uses.  Registration for lunch is $5 and required for all who attend. Participants must register before noon on Thursday, June 13th. Call the Rec Center to register (319)626-5716 or go online to your RecDesk Account and register yourself.

Julia Child’s story of her start in the cooking profession is intertwined with blogger Julie Powell’s 2002 challenge to cook all the recipes in Child’s first book.

Ranshaw House Lawn – 515 Community Dr. North Liberty 

Catch up with friends and socialize as a community Friday nights in June and July on the Ranshaw House lawn. Bring a picnic, BYOB and enjoy live performances from local musicians on the historic house’s front porch.

Friends of the North Liberty Library Book Sale

June 13 – 15

The Friends of the library annual book sale is back this year, shop the sale Thursday, June 13 through Saturday, June 15 during normal business hours in the library. Cost is $20/ bag (as many as you can fit in the provided bag) or free will donation for small purchases.

North Liberty Library – Magazine Lounge 

Do you like to bake? Donate baked goods to the JOI bake sale on Thursday, June 13th by bringing your treats to the library. 

Not much for baking, but love to snack? Come buy some homemade baked goods on June 14th and 15th! The sale will be held in the library during regular hours. All proceeds will be used for supporting North Liberty youths!
