City Hall Moved at 360 N Main St.

City Hall has relocated to 360 N. Main St., adjacent to the North Liberty Police Station.

The public can accesses the same services at the new location during the same business hours: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Departments located at the building include Administration, Billing and Finance, Building Inspection, Planning, Community Relations and Human Resources.

Go Behind the Scenes in the Refreshed Neighborhood Ambassador Program

This fall, our award-winning Neighborhood Ambassador program will take a cohort of North Liberty residents behind the scenes for a deep dive in how the city works in a newly refreshed program. Residents are invited to apply before Friday, July 26, 2024, to participate.

Established in 2020, the North Liberty Neighborhood Ambassador program engages volunteers who are passionate about advancing the quality of life of their neighbors. These on-the-ground local leaders have completed the City of North Liberty’s Neighborhood Ambassador program and can offer insight into how the City operates, help answer questions or direct their neighbors to city staff member who can and connect residents to one other and to community resources.

Starting this fall, the Neighborhood Ambassador program will take a cohort through five sessions between September and May covering topics of community interest. Participants are invited to tour City facilities and engage in conversations with city staff and community leaders and to gain knowledge about the intricacies of city government while developing a strong sense of community with city staff, fellow program participants and our growing network of program alumni.

Applicants should attempt to make all five session, dates listed below, on Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. Applicants will be notified of their status by Aug. 2.

  • Sept. 4, 2024: Orientation
    Welcome and program overview and Community Center and Ranshaw House tours.
  • Nov. 6, 2024: Community Safety
    Fire and Police department tours and an introduction to organizations providing social services in our community.
  • Jan. 8, 2025: Civics 101
    City Hall tour, mock city council meeting and a brief introduction to decision-making, budgeting, planning and zoning.
  • March 5, 2025: Public Works
    Wat
    er, wastewater and streets facilities tours.
  • April 2, 2025 (hold for snow date)
  • May 7, 2025: Parks and Events + Graduation
    An introduction to city parks and public events followed by a graduation program and reception. 

Upon graduation, participants are considered Neighborhood Ambassadors, having gained insights into how the city works and what resources are available, with access to neighborhood grant funding.

Participation is free but space in the program is limited.
