55+ Connections: Tuesday Gathering

North Liberty Library – Meeting Room CD 

This week will be a special meeting for Tuesday Gathering. All members of the community are welcome for a community conversation. 

The North Liberty Library received a $10,000 grant from the American Library Association to install hearing loops in the meeting room areas. Join us for a short presentation about the installation project and ask questions about the proposed project. 

55+ Connections: Friday Lunch

North Liberty Rec Center – Classrooms 3 & 4 

Somehow we’re at the first Friday in November! For this first Friday of the month, Hy Vee is catering. They are expected to bring sloppy joes, coleslaw, and mac n’ cheese. After lunch we will have a brief community discussion about the hearing loops that are being installed in the library meeting rooms, followed by a few rounds of bingo. Registration for lunch is $5 and required for all who attend lunch. Participants must register before noon on Thursday, October 31st. Call the Rec Center to register (319)626-5716 or go online to your RecDesk Account and register yourself. 

Club 24 

Monday, November 4th

North Liberty Rec Center 

CLUB 24 is a program for adults and seniors to socialize over University of Iowa Athletics.
Patrons can sign up online, over the phone, or in person at the Community Center. 

On November 4th we’ll be watching the Iowa vs. Wisconsin game. 

Satellite Voting Dates, Times, Locations 

The Johnson County Auditor’s Office announces early voting opportunities via satellite locations for the Nov. 5, 2024 General Election. Early voting provides residents more opportunity to cast their vote, allows for voting outside normal polling locations, and avoids potential personal conflicts for voting on Election Day. Early and satellite voting locations are open to all Johnson County voters.

Early voting will be in the Johnson County Administration Building lobby, 913 S Dubuque St., Iowa City, and drive-thru voting will be in the Health and Human Services Building parking ramp, 855 S Dubuque St., Iowa City.
