Youth Council to Host April Pickleball Tournament

North Liberty Youth Council members and North Liberty Community Center staff are teaming up to host a doubles pickleball tournament for area high school students on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Penn Meadows Park in North Liberty. The tournament is open to students from all area high schools. Entry requires five cans of non-perishable food items or $5 per team. All proceeds will be donated to the North Liberty Community Pantry. Water and granola bars will be provided to each team. Team check-in begins at 5:30 p.m. and the first round will start at 6 p.m. The winning team members will each receive a $10 gift card to an area restaurant!

NLYC, established in 2022, is made up of nine students from area high schools, including Liberty, CCA, and Regina. NLYC members work to advocate for other young people in the community by engaging in service projects and hosting events.
