Youth Council Hosting Flag Football Tournament in May

North Liberty Youth Council members and North Liberty Community Center staff are teaming up to host a 5-on-5 flag football tournament for students in grades 6 to-8 on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Liberty High School football stadium.

The tournament is open to all middle school students, regardless of where they reside or go to school. The entry fee is $5 per player or $25 per team and can be paid in cash on the morning of the tournament. All proceeds will be donated to the Liberty High Athletics Booster Club. Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m. and the first round will start at 10 a.m.. Each game will have a 20-minute running clock with 10-minute halves. The winning team members will receive fame, glory and a trophy!

NLYC, established in 2022, is made up of nine students from area high schools, including Liberty, CCA, and Regina. NLYC members work to advocate for other young people in the community by engaging in service projects and hosting events.
