Street Closure: Cherry Street Between Front and Main

Cherry Street will be closed between Front and Main streets on Saturday, May 10, 2025, for Remarkable Rigs.

The closure will begin at 9 a.m. and end shortly after noon. The closure is for the City’s annual public works showcase which this year includes an open house at Fire Station No. 1, 25 W. Cherry Street, as part of the department’s 80th anniversary. The event is free and open to the public.

There will not be a signed detour, but motor vehicles can use Cherry, Dubuque, Main, Zeller and Front streets to navigate around the closure. Drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes and to use extra caution when in the area due to high levels of expected pedestrians.
