The Preserve Neighborhood

The Preserve is the newest neighborhood in the south west corner of town, accessed from Kansas Ave and just off the interstate.  The neighborhood is in the Clear Creek Amana School District and is located just 0.5 mile from North Bend Elementary School. The Preserve is adjacent to 40-acre Centennial Park, equipped with play structures, a rock playground, perimeter trail and open green space. Centennial Park welcomes over 17,000 attendees for North Liberty Blues & BBQ the second Saturday each July and is the site of several other smaller events year-round.

Neighborhood Ambassadors

How long I’ve lived in North Liberty
Officially a 5-year North Liberty resident, but I’m a lifelong Iowa City native and a U of I Hawkeye! I watched the North Liberty Community Center expand from its humble beginnings, and my class was the very first to attend North Central Junior High.

Favorite item I’ve purchased under $100
A $15 wire puller, or Fiberglass “Fish Sticks” as the electricians like to say (Google it if not familiar). I enjoy all kinds of DIY home construction. Pulled speaker wires to unimaginable places for surround sound in my home. The right tool for the job can make you feel absolutely INVINCIBLE.

A business I’d like to see here
An international grocery store! I love to cook and love exotic spice and flavors.
