South Fiber Project

RFP Overview

Sealed Bids for the construction of the South Fiber Project will be received, by City of North Liberty, at North Liberty City Hall, 360 N Main St, until 10:00 AM local time on May 29, 2025, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

The Project will involve the following: Installation of fiber, conduits, handholes, tracer wire, and pull tape, fiber splicing, trenched and trenchless conduit installations, conduit connections, minor grading, surface restorations, and traffic control at various locations along Forevergreen Road, Kansas Avenue, St Andrews Drive, and Ranshaw Way in North Liberty.

The work must be substantially completed by September 19, 2025 with the exception of phases noted otherwise in the project documents.

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract.  Bids shall be on a unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Form.

The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents: Shive-Hattery, Inc., 2839 Northgate Drive, Iowa City, IA 52245, and 319-354-3040. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and may obtain copies of Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.

• Copies of the Bidding documents may be obtained by Bidders and Sub-bidders at Rapids Reproductions, 415 Highland Ave Suite 100, Iowa City, IA 52240, (319) 354-5950 in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders upon payment in the sum of $30.00 for each set of documents for shipping and handling fees. Bidders are responsible to confirm current shipping and handling fees with Rapids Reproductions as fees are subject to change due to market conditions. It is requested that bidders return the documents in good condition within ten days after receipt of bids.

Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
