Test Iowa Launches to Assess, Test and Track COVID-19

Today, Gov. Kim Reynolds launched the Test Iowa Initiative to expand testing capacity to limit the spread of COVID-19 in Iowa.

Iowans are encouraged to visit testIowa.com to complete a health assessment, which will help the public health officials assess Iowans, prioritize testing and further inform the state’s response to COVID-19.

Test Iowa asks Iowans to answer a few questions to determine their current risk and provide the Iowa Department of Public Health and government leaders insight into our collective health.

Public health officials will prioritize testing for those who currently have symptoms, have interacted with someone who has already tested positive or have recently visited places where COVID-19 is more widespread. Those who qualify will be able to schedule a test at a drive-through testing location.

If, after testing, an Iowan has tested positive, they’ll be asked to answer some questions, for example, who they might have been in contact with and where you have traveled recently, to help isolate the infection rate.

The tool is available online now at testiowa.com. Other news and resources are available at northlibertyiowa.org/coronavirus.
