Temporary Signals Come to Intersection of Jones and Forevergreen
Beginning 9 a.m. on July 19, 2021, the intersection of Forevergreen Road and Jones Boulevard will be signalized. These temporary traffic signals will be in place at least through the completion of the current Ranshaw Way improvements, which includes a closure between Golfview and Hawkeye Drive to complete work in the final phase.
While these signals are only temporary, the intersection is being evaluated by the Metropolitan Planning Organization of Johnson County, the regional planning organization, for future improvements. The transportation planners will capture and analyze traffic counts, turning movements, delays and other data, and make recommendations if they are warranted by the intersection meets standard thresholds. Recommendations could mean permanent signals, redesign and reconstruction or other improvements to the intersection.
Drivers are asked to be aware of traffic pattern changes and use caution and allow extra travel time. Updates on project are posted at northlibertyiowa.org/projects.
