New Daily Recreation Rate, Memberships Still Provide Best Value

Starting May 25, the City of North Liberty will increase the daily rate for Recreation Department facility use to $6 per day, regardless of residency. The fee supports the upkeep and replacement of North Liberty’s pools, weights, cardio equipment and gyms by users. This change is the first since 2018. Track use remains completely free for North Liberty residents.

Recreation memberships fees, which can represent a significant savings for frequent users, will remain unchanged. For example, an all-inclusive Black & Gold pass for an adult resident pays for itself in just 54 visits, and just 45 visits for a resident family pass, which covers an entire household. For summer pool use, a monthly family pool pass for North Liberty residents pays for itself in just five visits; monthly passes are good for one month from date of purchase.

North Liberty strives to keep use of its public facilities affordable and offers discounted memberships, often at no cost, based on income. To apply, complete the online form or stop by the Recreation Department’s front desk.

To purchase a membership, visit the Recreation Department’s front desk in the Community Center, 520 W. Cherry St.
