Employee and rookie of the year

December 13, 2012—The City of North Liberty recently recognized Lieutenant Diane Venenga as the 2013 Employee of the Year. Ms. Venenga has been with the city police department since 1999. She is a solid role model for every officer, as she is constantly searching for ways to improve her own performance and that of those around her. Nominations for Employee of the Year were open for submission to all city staff; Ms. Venenga was selected as the winner by Mayor Tom Salm and City Administrator Ryan Heiar.
Rookie of the Year typically goes to an employee who has been with the city for less than a year. Though Erik Schneider has been volunteering for the library since 2009, he came on board as paid Library Page in July 2012. Mr. Schneider has an excellent sense of humor and he’s a viable asset to the library and its patrons.
