City Hall Reopened at 360 N Main St.

City Hall has moved from its previous, leased offices into the new, permanent building at 360 N. Main St. at 7 a.m.

The public can accesses the same services at the new location during the same business hours: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Departments located at the building include Administration, Billing and Finance, Building Inspection, Planning, Community Relations and Human Resources.

A ribbon cutting and open house is planned for Tuesday, May 14, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

It’s 55+ Book Club time! This month we read The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend by Katrina Bivald. If you read the book this month or in the past and want to come talk about it, or if you want to hear more about it and don’t mind spoilers, we’ll be meeting up in the library meeting rooms with coffee and snacks for a friendly book discussion. If you want to join us in May, we’ll be reading The Violin Conspiracy by Brendan Slocumb. You can pick up a copy at the library! 

Join us each week for a social gathering full of activities and friendly conversation – board games, puzzles, art, book discussions, and more! No registration required.

We’ll be enjoying food from China Garden this week. After lunch we have a rescheduled presenter, Jennie Garner, from North Liberty Library. She was going to talk to us in January but was unable due to snow. Now she’s back and ready to tell us about her role as library director! Registration is required for all who attend. CLUB 24 is a program for adults and seniors to socialize over University of Iowa Athletics.
There will be another special guest this week, Jake Kadel—a former University of Iowa wrestler!
Patrons can sign up online, over the phone, or in person at the Community Center. Patrons must reserve their spot by the proceeding Friday (April 26) each week.
Patrons will pay $6 to attend the program, either cash the day of or credit card with online registration. The cost will cover cinnamon rolls from Bluebird Café. Coffee will be provided for patrons also. 

Bluegrass and Brews at Club 76

It’s our monthly installment (1 day late) of Bluegrass and Brews. A great opportunity for all ages and skill levels to learn techniques and tips about playing bluegrass with some amazing musicians and beginners too.
