Pheasant Lane concerns

Comment: The extension of Pheasant Lane to Highway 965 is worrisome because there are 33 kids who live on the two blocks. The detour during construction of the Scales Bend Road/Highway 965 intersection could mean increased noise, increased traffic, speeding, traffic going to the lake and impaired drivers.
City administration and project leaders appreciate safety concerns about extending Pheasant Lane. It will be a disruption, and we’re committed to enforcing all traffic safety laws, including the prevention of speeding and driving while intoxicated.
We will make every effort to communicate changes in traffic control and patterns as the project continues, and our police department will be actively patrolling the project site and detour routes to enforce advisory traffic speeds and other safety laws throughout the project.
