New high school seeks mascot, school colors

The Iowa City Community School District is seeking staff and community suggestions regarding the selection of the future Liberty High School mascot and school colors. These selections need to be made by the end of the calendar year in order to implement them into the design of the building. A committee has been formed for the selection process, which consists of district students, parents, staff, and community members. The committee is seeking potential ideas from students, parents, and the community at large.
To provide suggestions and opinions, please visit: www.engageiowacityschools.org. The topic will be open for comment until October 20, 2014. Once narrowed down by the committee, a recommendation will be presented to Superintendent Murley for final consideration.
