Kids Eat Free at Summer Lunch & Fun June 10 through August 16

The North Liberty Summer Lunch & Fun program returns this June. The program, which provides a free lunch and a daily activity for North Libertarians ages 0 to 18 every weekday during the summer months, will run Monday through Friday from June 10 through August 16. There will be no program on July 4.

Summer Lunch & Fun is held at the Ranshaw House, located at 515 Community Dr., or, in the case of inclement weather, the Community Center, 520 W. Cherry St., just to the south of the historic home. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and an activity will be offered each day from 12 to 1 p.m. The program is free and open to all North Liberty kids. No registration is required.

Summer Lunch & Fun is made possible by the City of North Liberty, the North Liberty Community Pantry and several area businesses and individual residents. The program served around 6,000 meals last year and program organizers are seeking support from local restaurants and others to help provide free food and activities for North Liberty youth again this year.
