City Hall Reopened at 360 N Main St.

City Hall has moved from its previous, leased offices into the new, permanent building at 360 N. Main St. at 7 a.m.

The public can accesses the same services at the new location during the same business hours: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Departments located at the building include Administration, Billing and Finance, Building Inspection, Planning, Community Relations and Human Resources.

A ribbon cutting and open house is planned for Tuesday, May 14, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Applications sought for Planning and Zoning commission

The City of North Liberty seeks to fill an upcoming vacancy on the Planning and Zoning commission, with the election of Commissioner Jim Sayre to the North Liberty City Council.
This advisory board makes recommendations to the city council regarding requests for annexation, zoning, amendments to the comprehensive plan, subdivision plats and commercial site plans. The Planning and Zoning Commission assists in determining how North Liberty will grow and how land is use. The commission meets on the first Tuesday of each month. This appointment will be to complete a term that lasts through June 2018.
Applicants must be 18 years old and a legal resident of North Liberty. Iowa State Code requires that cities have gender balance on all boards and commissions. With appointments and reappointments, gender balance will be considered. Applications are available here or at the City Administration building, 3 Quail Creek Circle, and must be turned in by December 30, 2015. The City Council will make appointments at its January 26, 2016 meeting for a term that will begin immediately.
