City Hall Reopened at 360 N Main St.

City Hall has moved from its previous, leased offices into the new, permanent building at 360 N. Main St. at 7 a.m.

The public can accesses the same services at the new location during the same business hours: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Departments located at the building include Administration, Billing and Finance, Building Inspection, Planning, Community Relations and Human Resources.

A ribbon cutting and open house is planned for Tuesday, May 14, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Recreation programming brochure for winter 2016 now available

community center winter 2016 brochure coverThe North Liberty Community Center’s winter 2015 brochure, covering programming and events held January through April is now available. Copies are available in the upcoming issue of the NoJoCo newspaper, at the Community Center and for download on the web.
New offerings include several new fitness classes, including a pool noodle triathlon workout, and a weekly swim for home schoolers. Returning favorites include the annual snowman contest and the Optimist sponsored Easter egg hunt. Swimming lessons, information about spring sports leagues, arts and craft classes for kids and more are also included.
Programs fill quickly, so register early. Registration for most programs begins Monday, Nov. 30. , with programs beginning as early as Jan. 4.
In addition to these programs, the brochure highlights upgrades to the indoor track, the weight and cardio area, and other facilities in time to help patrons with their resolutions in the new year. Individual memberships are available for as little as $17.75 a month, with packages for families and couples, and discounts for students, seniors and members of the military. The North Liberty Community Library highlights visits from author Zachary Michael Jack and a presentation about cooking Laura Ingalls Wilder style with Sarah Uthoff. More programming is listed in the library’s seasonal brochure.
