City Hall Reopened at 360 N Main St.

City Hall has moved from its previous, leased offices into the new, permanent building at 360 N. Main St. at 7 a.m.

The public can accesses the same services at the new location during the same business hours: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Departments located at the building include Administration, Billing and Finance, Building Inspection, Planning, Community Relations and Human Resources.

A ribbon cutting and open house is planned for Tuesday, May 14, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Back 2 School Bash Makes Sure Kids Have a Good Start to the School Year

To make sure kids have what they need to start the school year off right, the inaugural Back 2 School Bash will be held to distribute school supplies, socks and underwear, toiletries, shoes and haircuts to kids in the North Liberty area this Friday.

Kids, accompanied by an adult, can attend the Back 2 School Bash on Friday, Aug. 17, 2018, from 2 to 5 p.m. in Penn Meadows Park in North Liberty.

This event is organized by the North Liberty Community Pantry, the City of North Liberty and a group of community partners, including the North Liberty Unity Coalition, the Iowa City Community School District’s Family and Student Advocates,  North Liberty Optimist Club, Forever Green Nursery, MidWestOne Bank, JM Swank and Alliant Energy.

Community members can volunteer at at the North Liberty Community Pantry’s online signup. Questions can be addressed to the pantry at [email protected].
