Good Neighbor Meeting: Property on North Side of Berkshire Lane as Extended West

Update: This meeting can be watched at the bottom of this post.

Scanlon Family, LLC. has submitted a zoning map amendment (rezoning) and preliminary subdivision plat on approximately 5.28 acres. The rezoning would be from RS-6 Single-Unit Residence District to RD-8 Two-Unit Residence District and the preliminary subdivision plat would plan the proposed layout of lots, streets, and other features. The property located on the north side of Berkshire Lane as extended westerly 85’ from its current terminus in Greenbelt Trail, Part 2 Subdivision.

No formal staff review of the proposed rezoning has been completed, nor have Planning Commission or City Council considered the request.  It is anticipated that this request will be considered at the August 1, 2023 Planning Commission meeting.

Please visit https://northlibertyiowa.org/meetings/?category=planning-and-zoning-commission to view upcoming agendas and meeting information.

Good neighbor meetings are intended to allow an applicant to share the details of the application, answer questions, and receive feedback prior to formal consideration by the Planning Commission. Initially, the applicant will provide a brief description of the request. Thereafter, there will be an opportunity to answer any questions and/or voice concerns.  City staff will be present to moderate and answer any procedural questions.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, please contact Ryan Rusnak, Planning Director, directly at (319) 626-5747 or [email protected]. He will be able to answer any questions and/or make note of any concerns.
