City Hall Reopened at 360 N Main St.

City Hall has moved from its previous, leased offices into the new, permanent building at 360 N. Main St. at 7 a.m.

The public can accesses the same services at the new location during the same business hours: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Departments located at the building include Administration, Billing and Finance, Building Inspection, Planning, Community Relations and Human Resources.

A ribbon cutting and open house is planned for Tuesday, May 14, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Ashley Court, Lions Drive to close next week

More closings are scheduled for Highway 965 next week.  On Monday, the contractors will be closing Lions Drive and Ashley Court.  This will certainly make it difficult to access those businesses located in the area.  However, ALL businesses will be accessible.  For those needing to access Ashley Court, the detour will be Sara Court.  And for those needing to use Lions Drive, Hawkeye Drive will be street to take.  Please check out the map posted on an earlier blog to get a visual of how to access these locations.  Also, be sure to visit the businesses in this area while construction is ongoing.  They will cetainly appreciate your support!

We anticipate Ashley Court being closed down for about 10 days.  Unfortunately, Lions Drive will be down longer, probably close to two weeks.  Of course, all of these closings and reopenings are dependent on weather.

We have noticed many cars traveling through the construction zones at more that 25 mph.  Just a reminder, please keep your speeds down in order to protect the workers, yourself and your pocketbook.
