City Hall Reopened at 360 N Main St.

City Hall has moved from its previous, leased offices into the new, permanent building at 360 N. Main St. at 7 a.m.

The public can accesses the same services at the new location during the same business hours: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Departments located at the building include Administration, Billing and Finance, Building Inspection, Planning, Community Relations and Human Resources.

A ribbon cutting and open house is planned for Tuesday, May 14, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Free Fishing Event on June 4 in North Liberty

North Liberty Parks and Recreation Department along with Scheels and the Iowa DNR are partnering to have a Family Fishing Event on Saturday, June 4, 2011 in conjunction with Free Fishing Weekend across Iowa.

The event will be held at Liberty Centre pond in North Liberty 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  It is open to the public and is free of charge. There will be prizes, giveaways, and stations to help families learn how to fish. The stations will include casting, fishing techniques (what bait/lure to use for what fish), live fish ID, and safety. There will be food and other activities as well.
