David Moore appointed to fill city council vacancy

Last night, the North Liberty City Council appointed David Moore to fill a vacant city council seat. The vote was unanimous.
The vacancy was created by Gerry Kuhl’s appointment to mayor, following the death of former mayor Tom Salm in May.
Both appointed seats will be up for election this November when the special local option sales tax appears on the ballot, and the election’s winners will be sworn in to the remainder of the terms following that election. The mayoral and councilor terms last through 2017.
