City Hall Reopened at 360 N Main St.

City Hall has moved from its previous, leased offices into the new, permanent building at 360 N. Main St. at 7 a.m.

The public can accesses the same services at the new location during the same business hours: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Departments located at the building include Administration, Billing and Finance, Building Inspection, Planning, Community Relations and Human Resources.

A ribbon cutting and open house is planned for Tuesday, May 14, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Here’s is your last chance at the Friends of the Community Library’s book sale. It runs until 5 p.m. at the library, and you can grab a bag of books for just $10.
Later that night, at 7, a free showing of Mr. Peabody and Sherman, along with some free food, is happening at LIFEchurch, 625 Meade Drive. “I’ll be doggoned if ‘Mr. Peabody & Sherman’ isn’t a refreshing ‘paws’ from the run-of-the-mill movies that often serve as family entertainment,” says Linda Cook at the Quad City Times.

Iowa Donor Network hosts its first Organ Trail 25- and 50-mile bike rides. The supported routes start at 10 a.m. from its headquarters at 550 Madison Ave. in North Liberty. Register for $30 and get a Dri-fit shirt while supplies last, water bottle and more, while supporting organ donation awareness.
The Growing Together Garden is hosting a free pollinator party from 1 to 3 p.m. at 89 N. Jones Boulevard. Come learn from local experts how to start your own garden that is beautiful and attracts butterflies and honeybees, try some delicious local honey, build a seed bomb and take home a plant.

Join the crew for live music at the weekly farmers’ market, which runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m at Penn Landing. Penn Landing Market features two dozen purveyors of local produce, farm-fresh and handmade goods, ready-to-eat food and more.
