City Hall Reopened at 360 N Main St.

City Hall has moved from its previous, leased offices into the new, permanent building at 360 N. Main St. at 7 a.m.

The public can accesses the same services at the new location during the same business hours: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Departments located at the building include Administration, Billing and Finance, Building Inspection, Planning, Community Relations and Human Resources.

A ribbon cutting and open house is planned for Tuesday, May 14, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Library Board of Trustees vacancy

The Johnson County Board of Supervisors is accepting applications for one vacancy on the North Liberty Community Library Board of Trustees for a person residing in unincorporated Johnson County to serve a three-year term beginning July 1, 2017 and expiring June 30, 2020.

While all North Liberty Community Library Board of Trustees members are appointed by the North Liberty City Council upon recommendation from the Mayor, the appointment of a resident of unincorporated Johnson County is also subject to the initial recommendation of the Board of Supervisors; thus, applications are submitted to the Johnson County Board Office.

The North Liberty Community Library Board of Trustees is a six-member advisory board empowered to review policy, aid in the determination of goals & objectives, provide advice and guidance on library operations & programs, and engage in library advocacy. The Library Board of Trustees meet the 3rd Monday of each month; 6:30 p.m. at the North Liberty City Council Chambers (3 Quail Creek Circle). Meetings are also televised on NLTV channel 5.

Completed applications must be returned to the Board Office by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2017.
