City Hall Reopened at 360 N Main St.

City Hall has moved from its previous, leased offices into the new, permanent building at 360 N. Main St. at 7 a.m.

The public can accesses the same services at the new location during the same business hours: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Departments located at the building include Administration, Billing and Finance, Building Inspection, Planning, Community Relations and Human Resources.

A ribbon cutting and open house is planned for Tuesday, May 14, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

The Rockin’ 5K, hosted by the PTOs of Garner, Penn and Van Alen, an benefiting the Family Resource Center, kicks off at Saturday morning at Van Allen Elementary. Register in advance or between 7 and 8 a.m. at Van Allen Elementary. One-mile route starts at 8:30, 5K route starts at 9 a.m. And consider this: running is a good excuse to drink chocolate milk.
Learn to fly fish with Take a Kid Outdoors, the Hawkeye Fly Fishing Association and Fin and Feather at Liberty Centre Pond starting at 2 p.m. Experts at the free event can show you the best way to catch the prize fish you’ve always dreamed of.
The weekly farmers’ market runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m on Sunday, May 10 at Penn Landing. Penn Landing Market features two dozen purveyors of local produce, farm-fresh and handmade goods, ready-to-eat food and more.
