Lane reduction: Penn Street west of Alexander Way

Weather permitting, beginning Monday, April 4, work will begin to remove concrete medians on Penn Street, which will eliminate turning lanes between Alexander Way and Interstate 380. Additionally, there will be work along the shoulder to prepare for temporary pavement.
This is part of work adding a westbound and eastbound lane from Alexander Way to the ramps at Interstate 380, helping to reduce congestion on Penn Street.
Drivers are asked to use caution around the work site, allow extra travel time, and find alternative routes when possible. Details and updates on this and other North Liberty construction projects are available at northlibertyiowa.org/projects.
