Good Neighbor Meeting for Property West of North Liberty Road, North of Dahnovan Estates

This meeting will be held on Thursday, May 30, from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. at the North Liberty City Council Chambers, 1 Quail Creek Circle in North Liberty.

The city may soon consider a rezoning and subdivision plat for property in our area, and to invite the public to an open-house-style meeting being held to explain the proposal. The property is on the west side of North Liberty Road, just north of Dahnovan Estates. The proposal is for a residential subdivision of single-family lots. A location map is included with this post. This memo is being sent to property owners within 200 feet of the proposed development.

This Good Neighbor meeting is being held to explain the potential subdivision plat and rezoning being considered by the owner/developer, and to gather any comments you may have regarding the proposal. No staff review has been done, nor have Planning Commission or City Council actions been taken, but the application may be made as early as June 1. This meeting is intended to notify you early in the process and to help the developer understand neighborhood concerns, and other formal public meetings will be held by the Planning Commission and City Council if the development applications proceed.

Please feel free to drop in to the Good Neighbor meeting any time within the period shown above. There will not be a formal meeting or presentation; instead, city staff and the developer will be available for informal open-house discussions with maps and information regarding the proposal.

If you wish to discuss this application and are unable to attend the meeting, please contact Planning Director Dean Wheatley directly at (319) 626-5747 or
[email protected], to schedule a private meeting.
