City Hall Reopened at 360 N Main St.

City Hall has moved from its previous, leased offices into the new, permanent building at 360 N. Main St. at 7 a.m.

The public can accesses the same services at the new location during the same business hours: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Departments located at the building include Administration, Billing and Finance, Building Inspection, Planning, Community Relations and Human Resources.

A ribbon cutting and open house is planned for Tuesday, May 14, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

City Assessing Derecho-Damaged Trees in Right of Ways

Starting Monday, Aug. 31, 2020, staff will survey mature trees in and overhanging the right-of-ways in North Liberty’s the original section of town, and marking trees that require branches trimmed or to be completely removed. The staff will identify any hazards so that a tree contractor can be hired to do this work. staff will attempt to make contact with the property owner.

Trees will be marked with temporary paint. Trees identified for branch trimming will be marked with a ◯ (circle). Trees identified for complete removal will be marked with a ✗(cross).

There is not yet a timeline for when the tree work will begin.
