Social Service Grant Application Opens for FY23 Funding

Each year, the City of North Liberty funds social services to North Liberty residents through a competitive grant process. Applications, available now, will be accepted until June 1, 2022.

The City Council will make funding decisions in June and the funds will become available with the start of the new fiscal year on July 1. These funds are for both annual funding and smaller projects and contributions to innovative programs; the city council has emphasized the focus on new services benefiting North Liberty residents. Previous grant recipients include Big Brothers/Big Sisters, CommUnity Crisis Services & Food Bank, Domestic Violence Intervention Program for sexual violence prevention programs for middle and high school students, Houses into Homes, Housing Trust Fund of Johnson Co, Iowa City Free Medical & Dental Clinic, North Liberty Community Pantry, Rape Victim Advocacy Program, Shelter House for its emergency shelter and United Action for Youth.
