Explore How Police Officers Train Using Virtual Reality

The public is invited to learn, hands-on, about the North Liberty Police Department’s new virtual reality training system.

The system, the first of its kind in the state, allows trainers to provide a safe environment for officers to practice a variety of scenarios including de-escalation and other interactions and techniques. By recording interactions, trainers and officers can analyze responses, retry scenarios and improve officer reactions through continued practice.

Registration is required, and space is limited. Registration is available on Eventbrite.
