Future Childcare Professionals…Let’s Get Started

Future childcare professionals are invited to join their peers for a free weeklong educational series designed to help them begin their own home childcare business. The Child Care Ready Series is offered through a collaboration between Iowa Child Care Resource & Referral and 4Cs of Johnson County, our statewide and local childcare provider cultivation and support organizations. Their experts will guide attendees through the Iowa Child Care Program State Application in four classes, where attendees will register, train, learn about available funding and meet their consultants.

Spots are open in the Child Care Ready Series located at North Liberty’s Ranshaw House, 515 Community Dr.,  north of the Community Center, scheduled on:

  • Monday (3/18), Tuesday (3/19), and Friday (3/22) from 9 to 11:30 a.m.
  • Thursday (3/21) from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. includes a complementary lunch.
  • Participants need to attend the full four days to complete the program.
  • Indicate your interest by 3/13 at surveymonkey.com/r/ccrNorthLiberty or by contacting 4Cs Childcare Workforce Development Consultant Liz Retikis at (319) 338-7684 or [email protected].

Come for the one-on-one guidance from experts and group training; leave with the momentum to reach your goals and a new peer support network to launch a new business.

This free series is open to anyone in Johnson County and offers incentives to persons who receive their certificates of completion. CCR&R and 4Cs will work with you to eliminate common barriers to participation, like the need for childcare during the series and lack of transportation.
